The Capitol Hill Music and Worship Arts Ministries (MWAM), is an expansive 120+ member ministry – a vehicle of evangelism and discipleship – under the servant leadership of Michelle Riley Jones (right). The ministry is made up of anointed singers, choirs, praise teams, drama and liturgical dance ministers, and skilled musicians presenting a repertoire filled with high anthems, hymns, spirituals, gospel music, praise & worship songs, contemporary music, Christian drama and dance. Our mode of worship today is our attempt to glorify our Lord and Savior, responding to the leading of the Holy Spirit to fulfill God’s will for our congregation at this time. It provides an avenue for fellowship for members of the congregation who share the love of singing or playing music, expressive movement, dramatization and other visual forms. The ministry partners with other ministries to provide musical leadership to other church and outreach programs. We seek to educate those involved in the ministry through workshops, retreats and self/group-directed studies. Our members are encouraged to participate in opportunities for service to our community.

The Capitol Hill SDA Church Music and Worship Arts Ministry seeks to kindle a worship environment that: ACKNOWLEDGES Jesus as Lord and King; REFLECTS Christ through our witness and testimony; INSPIRES others to seek to know Him and to submit to His will for their lives; and, NURTURES the congregation in full, conscious and active relationship with Him.
Matthew 6:10 (NCV) — “May your kingdom come, and what you want [WORSHIP] be done, here on earth as it is in heaven.”
God does not bless great talent. He blesses great likeness to Jesus. We want to be and live as Jesus did.
(1 John 2:6, NIV)
